Progress

  • Over the past 2 weeks, we've added a whopping 4 new members to the Skymill team, the most we've ever added in such a short time! This includes 3 new artists and a new developer. We can’t wait to share some of what they create with you soon, but for now here’s an animation from one of our long time team members.

  • The design team made major breakthroughs on critical elements in the game's story. They can't give details, but they claim that it's very exciting and has made their lives much easier.

  • The developers have made a lot of progress on networking! Two players can now face off against each other on different computers. This is a major milestone for combat and something the team as a whole is very excited about! It should also be known that when the devs first tested this out, Sheila struck the first killing blow...

  • Our new developer has been working on the website's user accounts system. When this is finished, you'll be able to easily edit your account information, view your account inventory, and eventually download the game once it's available!

  • We're taking time to carefully research which servers will be best to use for PvP and Co-op features. We plan on testing out a few different set ups before the Combat Arena opens up later this year. Speed and reliability will be our highest priorities.

  • Chill with the Devs last week was a twist on our usual format: we played ARK in a Devs vs. Mods brawl. Through many challenges, the Devs prevailed victorious! We can't wait for the rematch ;)

  • The next Kindred Talks stream on June 26 at 2pm (14:00) EST will feature our two Senior Developers, John and Sheila! If you have a question that you'd like them to answer on the stream, you can submit it here!

Thanks for checking in with us! We’ll see you next time, on July 3rd!
